The Franco-Cameroonian player Kylian Mbappe has set foot in Cameroon as part of the visit he announced a few weeks ago.
Kylian Mbappe in Cameroon
That’s it! Kylian Mbappe has been in Cameroon for a few days, according to information from corroborating sources. For this unprecedented contact with the country of origin of his father Wilfried Mbappé, he will spend a few days on holiday on the island of Jebalè, a village attached to the district of Douala IV (Bonabéri), which is actually his father’s village. On 2 July, he will pay a warm visit to his father’s family.
The Bondy native will also be at the centre of an audiovisual production initiated by the national channel. CRTV’s regional station in the Littoral region is planning to shoot a 52-minute documentary about Kylian Mbappe from here and elsewhere. “A major report on one of the greatest footballers of this century, who has remained attached to his roots: Africa, Cameroon”, says the accompanying documentation. Filming will take place between France and Cameroon, in the backstreets of Douala.
In the meantime, Kylian Mbappe is enjoying his stay in Cameroon, making discoveries and meeting new people. He is particularly discreet on this subject on his official accounts.
