More Education for the Medical Corps
During the opening ceremony, the President of Scientific Committee of the Conference, Prof Jean Claude Mbanya emphasised the need for Doctors to receive continuous training after graduation.
“We have to start recycling doctors,” Prof Jean Claude Mbanya insists.
He called on Minister Manaouda Malachie to set up a programme for continuous medical education. He frowned at the fact that some doctors still prescribe old medications for patients..medications which were used about thirty years ago and have long been substituted.
“By establishing continuous medical education, we can be sure of better medical care,” the Professor notes.
