A 201-page book by Philippe Ganfeh has identified and lauded the exploits of Cameroon’s Head of State, H.E. Paul Biya.
The book titled, “Paul BIYA, Le héros d’un chemin escarpé” was launched this February 13, 2023 at the Cameroon Cultural Centre in Yaounde as part of activities to mark President Paul Biya’s 90th birthday.
The prose piece, losely translated as, “PaulBIYA, the hero of a steep path” was prefaced by Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo, Minister of Higher Education.
In eight chapters author highlights six major tests H.E. Paul Biya has successfully overcome during his forty one years as President.
The book brings out an in-depth description from circumstances surrounding the Head of State’s birth to his ascension to power and rule as President.
During the over two-hour book launch, two panelists highlighted major aspects of the book in a discussion moderated by Journalist, Serge Pouth.
An Anthropologist, Prof Paul Abouna focused on numerical recurrences around President Paul Biya’s life.
He indicated that the numbers eight, four, six, three and nine are significant in the life of President Paul Biya, with clear proofs from the book being launched.
On his part, a Political Scientist, Prof Mathias Eric Owona Nguini noted that the literary piece presents H.E. Paul Biya as Statesman and Politician.
“PAUL BIYA, Le héros d’un chemin escarpé” was published by Editions Proximité in November 2021 and goes at 10.000 CFAF.
