The second Pool C match between Rwanda and Uganda at the Douala Re-unification Stadium in Bepanda in the Total CHAN Cameroon 2020, is a clash of neighbours who are well known across the world for different exploits.
Uganda is just coming out of a breathtaking presidential election while Rwanda is reputed for its stunning development infrastructure.
However, when it comes to football, particularly the African Nations Championship, both countries are forces to reckon with. Rwanda that played host to the fifth edition in 2018 is in their fourth participation in the final phase of the CHAN.
Uganda on the other hand have been galvanized after winning the Pre-CHAN friendly tournament in Yaoundé in which they held host Cameroon to a one-one draw, beat Zambia two nil, and imposed an emphatic three nil win over Niger.
The real stake in the encounter between Rwanda and Uganda is not who is better than who but the eagerness to secure a victory or the first three points before later on facing defending CHAN champions Morocco, who are playing in the same pool, as well as Togo that knocked out defending vice champions Nigeria, to qualify for this 6th edition.
